The value of securities and derivatives fluctuates continuously. Prices can move against a position rapidly and without warning, including outside trading hours. 03Derivatives and leverage

Futures and options are leveraged instruments. A small adverse move in the underlying can produce a disproportionately large loss, and option positions can expire worthless. Some structures carry theoretically unlimited loss. Trade derivatives only if you fully understand the instrument and can bear the resulting losses.

04Execution risk

Orders generated by the platform are transmitted to your broker for execution on an exchange. Orders may be delayed, modified, partially filled, rejected or not executed at all for reasons including but not limited to:

• insufficient margin or funds in your broker account
• broker-side risk limits, restrictions or downtime
• exchange restrictions, circuit limits, illiquidity or trading halts
• connectivity, latency or infrastructure failures at any point in the chain
• expiry, contract changes or instrument-level restrictions

05Technology risk

The platform depends on market data feeds, internet connectivity, broker APIs, cloud infrastructure and software. Any of these can fail, degrade or return incorrect data. Failures may occur at moments of high market activity, which is precisely when their impact is greatest. You accept this risk when you enable automated execution.

06Strategy risk

A strategy is a set of rules designed around particular market behaviour. Market character changes. Logic that suited earlier conditions may perform poorly, or produce sustained losses, under different conditions. Strategies may also be paused, modified or withdrawn.

07Your responsibility

All trading decisions and their consequences are yours. You choose which strategies to enable, which instruments to trade, what quantity to use and what risk parameters to set. You are responsible for monitoring your account, maintaining sufficient margin, and disabling execution if you no longer wish to trade.
